Playlist Tree (foo_playlist_tree.dll) is a powerful tree based media library plugin for foobar2000 with many available customizations. Playlist Tree allows for static folders created by the users or dynamic queries which can be specified using a variety of conditions. Playlist Tree is still in the process of being converted completely to 0.9 SDK. If there is a feature that has temporarily been dropped since the 1.7.x series, you may request it again so that I know there is still a desire for that feature.

Known Bugs

  • Still having some issues with drag and drop lock ups when running outside VS
  • Search always searches first created tree, not last active (fixed in dev version)
  • @icon<x> in the name of library playlist (Fixed in dev version)
  • FAKE nodes shows up in tree sometimes - (Fixed in dev version)
  • Track Finder can lock up / crash with large collections (added a max option in dev version)
  • auto Save/Restore not being setup correctly when closing foobar2000 (fixed in dev version)

Feature Requests

  • Dynamic @drop query creation on shift+drop file
  • Inline label editting
  • Reinstate old functionality of:
    • @limit
    • @hidden
    • @parent (implemented as $parent - i.e $parent('%_name') or $parent('%_name%',3)
    • @noshow (implemented as $hidetext())
  • Track Finder on Current Playlist from main menu (in dev version)
  • Add collapse tree to main menu options (in dev version)
  • Shortcut keys for Enter, Space in tree (in dev version)
